November meeting and AGM

The November meeting of Peterborough Local History Society is on Thursday 14th, at 7.30pm, at St Andrew’s United Reformed Church, Ledbury Road, Netherton, Peterborough PE3 9RF .

Lily Violet Bryant had two firsts to her name, she was Peterborough’s first female councillor, and first female mayor. Yet the majority of Peterborians will have never heard from her. This talk will explore this fascinating woman, and why women today should embrace her legacy.
