March Meeting
Our next meeting will take place this coming Thursday (13th March) at 7.30 pm, at St Andrew’s United Reformed Church, Ledbury Road, Netherton, Peterborough PE3 9RF.
The speaker for the evening will be Prof K. Schurer, with “The Discovery of Richard III – Ten Years On”. The discovery of a skeleton in a car park in Leicester some 10 years ago generated headlines around the world. In this talk, the speaker, who was part of the team from Leicester University that undertook the research which later confirmed that the skeletal remains were those of the last Plantagenet monarch, Richard III, will describe the processes and steps undertaken which led to the conclusion that Richard had been found and reflect on this momentous project ten years on.
Visitors are very welcome to attend, for a fee of £3.
